You all know that I love parties and I love to travel. So, when the opportunity arrises to combine these things, you better believe I jump on it! It’s high season in Saint-Tropez, that sliver of summertime when international nomads and billionaires nestle in on the Côte d’Azur. In short, it’s the place to be in July!
One party we attended was hosted by Denise Rich, known for her philanthropy, that includes her charity Gabrielle’s Angels which puts on the famous Angel Ball in NYC yearly. Rich has been dubbed “Lady Gatsby” numerous times, so you KNOW this was going to be a fantastic soiree!!
Every year around this time, Denise Rich docks her 157-foot yacht, dubbed Lady Joy (her middle name!) and entertains her friends until the rooster crows or the bubbly runs dry. The theme this year was Wonderland, and it more than lived up to its name! We were transported to a magical place filled with endless alcohol, towering cakes by Lenotre, and dancing galore!
Some guests included Magic Johnson, Joan Collins, and Samuel L. Jackson and me!
Dj Cassidy was spinning tunes all night, and I never wanted to stop dancing. We ran into him sleeping in his chair at the Rome airport, several days after Denise’s party, and he told us just in that week he did Leonardo DiCaprio’s fundraiser along 3 other major parties including a billionaire’s daughter’s wedding!
As you can imagine, all the major jewelers try to show off their luxe brands during the high season and Chopard hosted an elegant fashion show at our lovely hotel Villa Belrose The theme was roses and there were gorgeous arrangements everywhere My favorite was the rose flower swing, featured above. How whimsical!
Now, there’s something you should know about the women in Saint-Tropez… they are stunning, slender, and so so sexy!!!! I truly have not seen so many gorgeous women in one place.
Of course, they all love to show off their gorgeous figures by wearing next to nothing, which was perfect to highlight the stunning Chopard jewels. Guests lined the makeshift runway as they worked their way through us walking slowly to music in their skimpy evening gowns and Chopard Jewels.
And there were parties every night and every day too at the beach clubs.
